Project Brief

Prekaro Projects were engaged to undertake a full refurbishment of this boutique childcare centre in QLD’s Sunshine Coast, taking it from a tired and well-worn space to a modern, functional and well-loved space. The centre remained operational during the works and required a great effort from our team outside of hours and over weekends to ensure the project program was met. The client brief was to create a natural theme that both nurtures and educates the children of the Sunshine Coast.

Sunnybank Special School

Location:   Sunnybank, Qld
Year Completed:   2015

Project Brief

This project required an upgrade to the existing carpark at Sunnybank Special School to ensure it was DDA compliant whilst maintaining access and use of the school. Works included raising all carpark levels, new civil drainage and electrical, disabled compliant access as well as numerous undercover areas.

These works required a high level of staging and planning to ensure school operations were not interrupted.

Torrens University, Ultimo, Sydney

Project Brief

Prekaro Projects completed the internal renovation of the existing education facility located on Levels 1 and 2 in the heritage listed Wilcox Mofflin Building in Sydney CBD. The university remained in operation throughout the project, requiring the team to work both inside and outside of hours to suit the needs of the client. Safety of the students, staff and public was paramount and uncompromised. This project was completed on time and under budget for a repeat client.

Project Brief

Located in Melbourne’s CBD within a 5-story heritage listed building that remained in full operation as a university during the construction process. This project required a high level of communication with the client and cooperation by contractors to ensure the university functions and construction process could continue simultaneously.

  • Approximately 1100sqm of fitted space previously unoccupied
