Working with our repeat client Beach Kids Early Learning, Prekaro Projects completed the construction of their latest facility, Beach Kids Chinderah childcare centre.

Due to the location and council requirements of flood-resistant measures in the construction of the childcare center, the building sits 1.2m above natural ground level and is constructed of structural steel sub floor, steel frames and Colourbond roof sheeting.

By using materials and construction methods that are designed to withstand floods, the 71 place childcare center can be protected and remain operational even in times of heavy rain and flooding.

Prekaro implemented finer finishes to meet the operational requirement of the building. VJ lining to the internal walls, Vinyl flooring throughout and carpet to sleep rooms finished with custom joinery.

The timber decking provides a natural touch to any building, and it’s an especially good choice for this childcare center, being a warm, soft material that provides a safe, non-slip surface for children to play on it is durable and resistant to the elements.
